Grace
Grace is the most wonderful and mysterious act of God. Grace comes from the very nature of God. 1 John says that God is love. Grace flows from His love for His creation. We are created in the image of God. Romans 5:8 says that God demonstrates His love for us while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Jesus’ death on the cross was God’s love in action. How is it that a Holy God is able to forgive our sins? This forgiveness has nothing to do with our worthiness but everything to do with the greatness of God. God approaches His creation with Grace. He cares about us. Some days I wonder why He cares, but He does.
We have to realize that God’s grace is not just for us to consume, but it is given to us that we may share it with others. Galatians 6 teaches us that we are to approach the broken with gentleness. That we should also be cautious knowing that we could be in the same situation. This is a picture of Grace. Sometimes we need to be reminded of the grace of God in our lives. He owes me nothing. God saves me only because of His good nature. I challenge you to see the grace of God in your life. How different would your life be without His grace? Then I challenge you to extend Grace to those around you, especially those that you struggle with.
