Christ Caring For People Through People

Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”  [2 Corinthians 1:3-4]

STEPHEN MINISTERS

Lay persons, after receiving 50 hours of training in emotional and spiritual care, become a Christian friend who listens, cares, prays, supports, and encourages his or her care receiver for about an hour each week, for as long as there is a need.
